San Diego WIld Animal Park

Today we ventured out to San Pasqual in North San Diego to visit the Wild Animal Park. We've had the membership since January, and have been there once. It can get really hot, but today was overcast and pretty cool. We walked around the northern part of the park where it was quiet, and a log of the desert plants were in bloom. We saw a small owl, a road runner, two injured eagles eating a rabbit, and a pair of condors. There is a real nice stream running through this part of the park. We saw the elephant statue that was originally selling for 1.7 million dollars (now reduced $995,000), but decided to not take advantage of the bargin. We brought our lunch, and only stayed 2 hours. We'll stay longer next time. On the way out we stopped at a stand to buy Ostrich jerkey, but since it was $4.00 for a small wad, we opted for the regular beef jerkey instead.
